Okay guys...here's the scoop on the Grabber greens for 1971. There is a Grabber Green (code Z) which is a metallic green for 1971. This green is much richer in color than on Shawn Simpons car...but both colors are color code Z. I guess that was one of Fords better ideas. I have owned a 1971 Grabber Green car for 26 years so I pretty much speak from experience on this one. The 1970 Grabber Green (also code Z) is definitely much lighter in hue but is still a very pretty color. I have seen several of the 1970 Mustangs also with this color on them.
Next, I just recently purchased another 1971 Grabber...this one IS called Grabber Lime (Code I). (Both of these greens are extremely rare on Mavericks) This seems to be the color you are referring to on the little face above. This a very bright...almost flourescent green. You may have seen this one on some of the 1971 Mustang Mach I's. This color was also popular on some of the old Chrysler products such as the Cuda and RoadRunners. I have yet to re-paint this Lime car and am still debating on whether or not to go back with this original color or try something different. My 16 year old son will be driving it to school. Please go to the link below and you can decode any year Maverick. I hope this helps.
