The first car I ever drove in was a Comet. My parents had just purchased a new one shortly before I was born. I'm looking to see if I can find and restore one of similar make and model to the one that they owned, partly for nostalgic purposes, partly because if was the best car I'd ever driven in.

Now here's the trick: my parents claim that they don't remember the car's year. I could swear it was a seventy-eight but I can't find any information on whether or not Ford Canada continued the run for a year after the States had discontinued like Brazil did.

Does anyone know the answer? And yes, I am aware that the Sates' run on Mavs and Comets ended at the same time and that it was '77. What I'm looking for is if anyone knows whether or not Canada continued with a run for a year afterwards or did it get discontinued with the States' production.
