:Ford used 4 different distributor housing, 221-302s, 351W, 351C-460, and FEs, 332s-428s. The shafts and housing are interchangable but the guts and caps are. That's in the current engines 95% of you'll see, flatheads and "Y" blocks are different too.

:::I was smart enough to use the pump, accessories etc from the same year as the engine. And the water passage exits on the correct side. I already checked the distributor! It's worse than usual as I'm attempting the EFI swap!

::::wait till you start looking at other parts like dist. and waterpumps, Ford also used different waterpumps, dampers and timing covers on the smallblocks. Ford just seemed to love changing things around.
