... Most of the 5L roller motors have a longer shaft to engage the oil pump, though the cam gear is at the same distance from the housing. The gear must be a steel gear when used with a roller cam otherwise there are early wear problems. On my old motor EFI conversion I changed to the short shaft, placed the Hall effect rotor on it, in the EFI housing thus creating a short shaft efi dist. with cast gear. Ken |
