:I all,
:
: I'm running a 302 in my '76 Maverick with dual Holley 650cfm carbs and a Weiland 671 Supercharger and 9" rear end. It's entirely Streetable but would like to get more air out of the front end during launches. I've been thinkng NOS (Nitrous) would help a bit here but don't know anything about it. Can anyone provide any recommendations on this?

:Thanks

Fastman is correct, NOS is not for the average engine with blower. However if you have a boxcar full of money it makes awesome power. The December issue of Car Craft did a build up on a 383 Chev with Vortech blower, 8lbs of boost and 50hp shot of NOS. Got a conservative 500HP and 600ft lbs of torque. If you want a cheaper way to pull them front wheels way up, put in a deeper gear in the rear with bigger "SLICKS". Maybe even switch to alcahol. You are still limited because of your engine size. Cubes mean power! Good luck with it either way.
