Head casting ID for the small block Ford is the 6049 number and is often not included in the casting part number and is taken as a (given). This has been causing some confusion. Example is D0OZ-....-c and seen on the casting as D0OZ-C. This # is a 1970 head related to the original 221 engine (generation) and (Z) made for Ford car/truck divisons, C is the application to the 351w engine.
