Did this swap a while ago, and had the same high pedal problem. The problem is the pedal itself, since it is longer than the 6cyl pedal, and is therefore closer to the floor, when using the V8 master cyl and rod. If you can find a V8 pedal, and since you don't have power, it will work fine. Hope this helps.
