If that doesn't work they can but it on an EDM machine and burn the broken bolt out. We take out broken bolts at work all the time. Just a view on how the pros do it. .... Russ,your in a good machine shop. I have built small EDM machine (bored a hole through the shank of a high carbon tap), and milling would also be an option in a regular machine shop. Most auto machine shops don't have these capabilities. Cost is a consideration for most home hobbiest with that in mind,we gear the answers to problems on that basis of tools that may be at hand as there is almost nothing impossible these days if money and facility are at hand.
