this letter will be very general as it is going to many different people. what i have:
72 2door maverick that had a 200 6cyl with the basic options (plain jane) four lug wheels and overall dinky drive train. manual brakes
driveshaft c4 trans with large bellhousing front spindles calipers discs/hubs powersteering components all brake hardware outside of the car including brake booster and master cylinder with proportional valve (i screwed up and got rid of the donor car before i pulled the braking components from under the dash like the pedal and the brackets) what i need:
radiator for a high performance 351w: i've been told that a regular 3core radiator will do. the measurments on my old radiator were 21.5" from bottom tank to top tank and 22.5" from edge to edge. front sump oilpan for 74 windsor block: i have a quote for $52 at www.motorchrome.com timing gear cover for the '74 351w block: i found several in junkyard for 302 for $35 locally under dash brake pedal assy: i need all brake barts inside the passenger compartment of the car. i have no idea on this one. questions i've gotten mixed answers on: the 3core radiator from the '76 donor car was junk. but i still have the 2core radiator from the '72 that had the 200ci 6cyl w/ less than 10,000 miles. since we aren't going to use a thermostat, do you tink we could use this 2cor radiator with the 351w or would it overheat the engine or even blow up the radiator at high rpm? is it possible to have the disc brakes from the 4door without the booster (just the master cylinder) or is that suicide? will the c4 trans bellhousing i got from the '76 4door(302) fit the '74 351w block i have that came out of a van? what parts do i need from inside a salvage car for the brake assy? will an oem front sump oilpan for this motor fit in my maverick? will the flywheel that we had from the 302 work with my 351w (i didnt get one with the salvage 351w)? i know its a tight fit but do i have to cut the coil towers to make this engine fit in my car or just buy a tub of crisco?
i appologize for the size of this letter. i wanted to make sure you had enough info to go by.
