 The Versailles 351W (offered only in 1977) is a good choice because it already has a heavy-duty C4 attached, so you have no starter/flywheel/tranny issues.

But the basic 351W engine never changed much, and many people have put the 351W into Mavericks and Comets. So yes it can be done.
