thank you OldGuy for answering me... the Mav is in good shape for sitting in a garage for the past 15 years... i figured i'd find out if i could do anything about the roof before i decided to get it painted... seems logical, right?? but i'll probably leave it the way it is cuz it looks like the roof was welded on anyway... maybe the car had a crash before i got it... hey if i hadn't stripped it to paint it, then we probably wouldn't have known the roof has weld marks on it... i plan to do pix of restoration and make a Mav scrap book so progress may be slow, but it's still progress
