After using this program for many hours,the usefullness is in the teaching/learning about what happens when such things as displacement bore/stroke combinations,valve size,cam timing,advance-retard etc. are changed and the effects on torque/horsepower curve through the rpm range. Beyond this we don't know what the real attributes are of the heads,intake,exhaust etc. that are selectable. So that means to me;the accuracy will not be as good as compared to the $300 programs where the selections are of known performance levels.
I did read some time ago that the writer of the gasket program did infact write the more expensive version. By now there are others that are much better such as from a company called Performance Trends.
