the biggest difference you'll find between Ford & Chevy, is the location of the smog airpump port. Chevy usually puts them in the manifolds and Ford casts them in the exhaust port. On the Fords you can grind them down, either drilled or undrilled you'll see both, and it helps allot. If there are drilled they still work so if you're in smog country you'll still legal.

hanging my head in abject shame , I have wrenched many many of them there orange motors together but never have I built a FORD
:so I'm what you might call a blue oval idiot), I have heard that 351w heads will bolt up to my 302 with out any problems, is it true? I'm looking to make some power on the cheap and I know that the 302 2bbl heads just don't cut it.
:Anywho don't laugh too much at my lack of the finer points of making power with the humble little 302.
