...I haven't called to find out, but if you gomto this link http://www.drgas.com/promotor/ then click on "photos", then on "wedge kit #9" they show ball joints with the kit. I also seem to recall seeing a picture of one of these ball joints with a grease gun attached to it...with the fitting on the side?...possibly among those photos as well. Let us know, if you check it out any further, what you find out. (can't do it myself at the moment... I'm at work!) John B>

:I'm sorry, i know we've been talking about this for a while now, but i'm getting close (3 weeks and counting) before the five-lug conversion on my 69.5, and i need to have everything ready by then! It seems like everyone has a lot of questions, and there aren't a lot of answers.
:I saw the post below with the link to some of the wedges online, however i adamantly refuse to pay $240 for two pieces of metal and some nuts and bolts--$50 would be a reasonable price, not five times that.
:
:So, my question is--i assume that the ball joint would need to be shimmed on the side that faces towards the wheel, correct? (i have four-bolt ball joints). Is there an estimation on how much of a shim we're talking here? 1/4"? 1/8"? Where to start? How about on the inner side? None?
:Any suggestions on what to make it out of? What about the valve to grease the joint? Mine screws in on the top, will the shimming cause the need for a different valve?
:
:I'm sorry to drag this conversation out, i really need to know this stuff!
