1977 Maverick, 200cid, C-4 Auto.
My car also has the YFA Single Barrel Carb.
I have the Smog Pump mounted to the engine, the Diverter valve is attached to the back of the pump (it has one vacuum port on the back of it) Question is: Where does it get its vacuum suply from?
Also my car has a vacuum reservoir attached to the drivers side of the valve cover, (this also has one vacuum port on it)
Question: Where does IT connect to? and what part does it play in the Smog system?
I also have a oneway check-valve (Blue and White disc with one vacuum port on each end) Where does THIS get installed?
I think the smog system (diverter valve) should be getting its vacuum source from MANIFOLD vacuum but Im not sure.
My car also has a PCV valve with two ports on top (one large port to the base of the carb, the other goes to a one way check valve on the drivers side of my air cleaner).
The other port on the check valve on the air cleaner I beleive goes to the vacuum port on the drivers side of my carb about half way up the carb. Is this correct?
If anyone can help me with a GOOD vacuum diagram PLEASE RESPOND.
---My car DOES have a catalytic converter, Ive read in my manuals that this does make a difference as far as vacuum connections and associated parts as the smog system in cars with converters has to perform slightly differently as those without to keep from building up excess heat in the converter during idle.

thanks to anyone that can assist me.
Mavaholic has already helped me a great deal but his car and mine differ slightly as far as components are concerned.
I NEED A VACUUM DIAGRAM FOR A 1977 MODEL BADLY......
