:Hello everyone!
:I am currently in the process of trying to get a new engine for my 1973 Mav. I saw an ad today in my local Pennysaver for a 351 Cleveland and I was wondering if it would fit inside the engine bay? Also if it will are there any modifications that I would have to make to the car in order for things to fit properly. The 351 is newly rebuilt and it sounds like a great deal. If I were to put that type of engine would I have to do any brake or suspension mods? The info for my car: 1973 Mav, 2 door, automatic floor shift, orginal gears? If you have any other questions about specs for my car please feel free to email me. Also if anyone has any suggestions I am open to them. Thanks
:Jerilyn

It's a lot of work and expense to do that swap. I don't know how determined or inclined you are, but it can be done. It's much the same as swapping a 351w engine with header/spring tower clearence issues etc. The headers may be a much bigger issue than for a 351w engine. I would refer you to an owner named Bob Hatcher in Pa., can be found in the registery. He done this swap long time ago and would be glad to tell all you need to know.
Good luck.
