personally, put a 351 Clevor in it. 351W short block with 351C heads and special manifold. Use either a C-4 or C-6, 351W mounts up to the car frame as a 302 would along with the acc. 351C heads will give you move power. Two ways around the shock towers depending on what you want to do. A bigger eng/swap isn't just a engine swap, it's a car project. You have to do a car modification to go with the new equip.

:Hello everyone!
:I am currently in the process of trying to get a new engine for my 1973 Mav. I saw an ad today in my local Pennysaver for a 351 Cleveland and I was wondering if it would fit inside the engine bay? Also if it will are there any modifications that I would have to make to the car in order for things to fit properly. The 351 is newly rebuilt and it sounds like a great deal. If I were to put that type of engine would I have to do any brake or suspension mods? The info for my car: 1973 Mav, 2 door, automatic floor shift, orginal gears? If you have any other questions about specs for my car please feel free to email me. Also if anyone has any suggestions I am open to them. Thanks
:Jerilyn
