This may sound strange, but did you look at the oil. Check it for a funny smell or discoloration. I have seen this happen many times. Sometimes water or fuel gets into it and causes it to do a mild seize. Sometimes this happens. Just another possibility. Always look for the small stuff first. I guess is what I am saying. Good luck
