You shouldn't need to remove the coil to remove the spindle. When you jack the car up, the upper a-arm will drop until the shock stops it. Then just pop the tie rod and the upper and lower ball joints with a pickel fork. If it has a sway bar, remove it also, (you might want to throw it in if it is the large Granada bar). Don't forget the brake lines from the caliper to the frame.
