I am finally knee deep in my Maverick. I was in a helicopter crash about 14 months ago that left me paralyzed from the waist down, for about 2 months. I made a list in the hospital of things that I had been putting off, things that I was going to get around to when I had the time. Well, I learned that if you don't just do it you will never get the time! I am up and walking around now, I got rid of my cane about 3 weeks ago. I got two 10 inch rods and a plate in my back but you know what, I am doing it anyway. I am looking for the low 10.00's.
Well I got all of the old wiring harness out of the car today, what a pile! Also out came the heater assy and I cut away every thing ahead of the shock towers and above the frame rails. I am going to run the cage rails through the cowl vent area, against the tire side of the shock tower, and bend it down to the front of the frame. I have already cut the shock towers for the 351 mod, so it will be off to the blaster here real shortly. I plan to brace the fender and headlight assy off the cage and frame rails. The fuel tank, old headliner, all the interior, and bumpers are going to the big junk yard in the sky tomorrow. Most of it was rotted anyway being a Arizona car. I am going to try to attach some pics to this. I will let everyone know how all of this works out. I have really enjoyed the board since I found it in the hospital.
