We had 3 Mavericks and 1 Comet at the Mini-Meet and Fun Ford show and 5 Mavericks on the dragstrip! (One was sent
home for not meeting the safety standards, however). There were times in the 10:00's on the 1/4 mile! Jack Sherman, a club member from Beaumont, TX, ran his Maverick down the strip on Friday. One club member received the award for Best Compact Ford judged by the Fun Ford Judges. We even had 3 Maverick owners on foot. Nice to finally meet everyone. I had a really good time!
