I posted a while ago that I had contacted Ford about researching my Stallion. I got a reply from them today. Even though they couldn't give exact specifics on my particular Stallion, such as where in the run of 5529 Stallions it was, they completely decoded the V.I.N. down to the birth date of the car and exact options and features. Some of the info could be obtained by referencing a shop manual code sheet, but, some could not. They did provide the total run of Mav 2-doors for the year, 60,611 for 1976. I guess they didn't keep sub-group specifics on file back then. Now, who was it who never heard back from them?
