::Hey guys, I have seen some interest on the board in the past about the hard to find console that came in the Maverick. I came across one recently in a 71 Grabber I purchased. I have no plans to use it so I presently have it listed on eBay with about 3 days left on the auction. I wanted to provide this link just in case anyone wanted to take a look.

:Maybe someone can illuminate me. I thought free enterprise was part of what this country was about. There's a few of you who act as if you were betrayed by this fellow because he listed the console on the auction. I do realize that fellowship is part of what this board is about and that's also why I joined the Maverick/Comet International Club, but come on! I just have a hard time fathoming why there is that much moaning because he just wanted to make a reasonable buck on his item. You guys may be pissed at me for saying this, but I have a hard time with pettyness. Truthfully, Ray was under no obligation to say anything about it to anyone at all. At least he had the courtesy to tell his brother and sister Mav owners here that it was for sale. If I offended any of you by this.....too bad!

I agree Wes, narrow minds and children always are whining about something. When I was growing up, the wood shed and a hickory switch would rectify most things like that. Good luck Ray, I appreciate your info and those of us who buy and sell on ebay, know the rules. There is always a few bad apples there too, but that's part of life and those who go by the rules prevail. I read this board to get info on Mav's etc. Sometimes even give my opinion on things, don't know it all but after 60yrs of building, racing and wrenching cars I might be able to give input to someone elses problems. I have also learned more on this board than you can imagine, thanks for the lesson on consoles Ray, Wes, you didn't offend me, you spoke your mind and thats why we live in America.
