I,ve got my maverick to handle pretty good and it didn't cost an arm and leg. I put mustang 620 coils, kyb shocks, replaced lower control arm, upper ball joint and 1" sway bar with poly end links. For the rear I put HD 4 leaf spings from JcWhiteny 1" lowering block, gabrial shocks and 3/4" sway bar with poly end links. The alignment spects I used are 1 degree nagitive camber, 2 degrees positive caster, and 1/8 toe in this set up seems to work pretty good. With the positive caster this give you more feel with power steering.
