I had the same problem with a 77 Monarch I used to have. A manual choke solved the issue, and the car never had starting problems again. :I'm trying to replace the carb on my 1970 200 6 cyl Mav, and the only ones I can order are Carters with an opening on the automatic choke for a heat tube from the manifold. I don't have any hookup on my manifold for this. The last Ford mechanic to "fix" my carb left the heat-tube opening on the choke just sitting open. The car is a problem starter, and choke always sticks when stopped lukewarm. What to do? |
