200CI 170 Manifold carbeurator hookup diagrams Needed

I recently had a vacuum line to my transmission kink up because of transmission work I had just finished (replacing front seal). When I was investigating it I found that a hard metal line from the top back of my stock 1bbl carb went down near the vacuum port hookups, and dead-ended. I need to know what this is supposed to hook up to. It runs directly under air cleaner from the drivers side of the carb then on the passenger side it angles down toward the vacuum ports. However I have no open vacuum ports. A detailed picture of passenger side of this type of engine (sans air cleaner) would help. thanks in advance
