::Here is something to try. Find a length of aluminum tubing that fits the carb/nut location, to run down to the exhaust manifold and hose clamp fast in two places so it picks up enough hot air over 4 to 6" of the surface. If heat retention sleeve can be found put that on also.
.The carb pulls a small amount through the choke housing to bring hot air in, to keep the bi-metalic spring heated and the choke open. When the engine is stopped for a shorter interval, the hot manifold will allow air to rise up the tube to keep the spring/choke from closing to quickly until the engine cools down.
