A couple of things to look at would be; Yes, the distributor. Pop the cap and pull the rotor, then try to shake the shaft from side to side. If you can feel any side play in the shaft at all then the upper shaft bushing is worn out. This WILL cause the mystery miss in these 6 bangers. Also check the vacuum by installing a vacuum gauge on the intake manifold. See if you are getting a bouncing needle. That will tell you if you have a sticky or other valve problem. |
