I once worked on a 65 Mustang that someone put a 240 in. The biggest problem he had was that the carburetor hit the hood. He couldn't get a breather on it at all without cutting a hole in the hood. These engines are much taller than the 200 and 250 series. I really don't think you'd be happy with the end results either...even if you did cut a hole in your hood. Of course that's just my opinion. I advise you to talk with someone that races 6 cylinder engines and find out more about it.
Good luck...whichever way you go. Ray :has anyone ever put a 240 or 300 in their car?can anyone tell me what i might need to do because i just read an article on mustang and ford.com about fixing one up to 600hp.cause i wanna do it six banger style! |
