:had a few bites, concerning my quandry, but no definite solutions.
My car has been running the 6-cyl cable for 45k, and honestly there is absolutely no way a 6-cyl cable won't work and no one will ever notice the difference.

But I do have one off a '72 V8 parts car at home somewhere. However 'home' is 100 miles away because I am going to college. So maybe in the next couple weeks I could dig it up. I know I still have it, its just a matter of getting home and boxing it up. Contact me via email

:ive found NO ONE who can provide me with an intact throttle cable for a 72 V8 maverick.
:i bought and installed one from a 72 LTD, and it aint even close.
:craig selvey says i can use one from a 6 cylinder car, but id have to have a goofy looking loop in it, to work.
:i really would like to do this the right way, the 1st time.
:ive also been informed that a 73 or later cable will NOT work.
:if anyone has the correct cable, or at least a ford part number for it, id be grateful. im also willing to pay.
:the ONLY thing wrong with my beautiful maverick is it does not have a throttle cable. its getting frustrating!

:maybe someone can tell me of a compatible car that would share the same cable.
