I did this swap a few months ago. MHO If you drive the car EVERY day I would stick with the power. The manual setup does increase the steering effort,but it also lets you feel the road (not OVER assisted like the power). I like mine without the power. You may not. It makes it a little harder in parking lots(takes both hands to steer) but out on the open road it feels like a dream. my $.02 Russ
