:I thought there were a shock tower problems, if using 351 heads. Is that the case? What header/mainifold do you use?

::the heads are appx. 60.5cc which will lower your comp just a little. Take them apart have them milled .015" and you'll be back up to normal. You can use the 302 manifold but you have to use a intake/head side 351W gaskets and 302 intake/block end gaskets. Use the Ford or ARP special head bolts for this setup also.
:: If you really want the heads to work for you, open up the exhaust ports. They're the same as the 302 heads you took off, only with bigger valves but they still don't breathe very well.

:::I know this question has been asked before, but i was unable to find it in the archives...so, i'll ask it again!
:::I'm doing an engine swap--bought a 302 for my mav. The heads on it are TRASHED (block is good, thank god), so i got a set of rebuilt heads from Autozone--$120 a piece (fully assembled) and they're for a 351W. The casting number is D0OE (i've heard they're the best casting from the windsors?). The heads are listed as '69-73 heads...what chamber size are they? Also, do i use a 302 intake (opened up)? Anything else i need other than the bolt spacers (for the smaller 302 bolts)?
:::
:::Thanks,
:::Chris

It's the 351 block dimensions that are wider than the 302's, not the heads.
