:Will the comet GT hood scoop fit on a maverick hood? I'm most interested in determining if the "raised" portion of the maverick hood is wide enough to accomodate the GT scoop. If it does, where can I get an aftermarket scoo.. ..The GT scoop size is as follows, 25w at rear,20-3/4w at front,26 long. The Boss 429 is 23w at the front and narrows toward the rear 27-3/4/long the reverse of the GT unit. There are other more narrow scoops on the market. Check with any 65-73 Mustang supply for the Boss unit and the Mags for others. 70-72 Mav hoods are near flat I believe while the 73 up are raised so I can't help much with the fit on these cars. There is a GT scoop for sale in the MCCI newletter, page 9, first column,forth section down.
