Our freedoms come at a price. Most people have no idea of the mind set of the other people around the world. Being retired Navy I have been to some of these countries and can tell you, that this life has no meaning to some people. It's the afterlife that is important. Children are taught this way from the minute they take a breath and have been for thousands of years.
I have been in Asia and the Middle East and have felt the comtempt toward America. When was the last time you heard someone whining about Security at Airports? I hear it all the time. I fly all the time and was in the air last week and was suppose to fly to Mountain Home AFB, home of the B-1 bombers, 9/13. So far this year I have logged over 82K miles in the air. Airport security is a joke, pure and simple, but Americans have never known what the rest of the world lives with on a day to day basis. I'm second generation retired/veteran. I have a brother in Navy Air at San Diego, a son in the 1st Armored Div, tank crewman in Germany, and a niece in the USMC at Cp LeJunue,NC.
Personally, I put some of the blame for this on the bleeding heart liberals that have whined about their FREEDOMS being imposed open.

:In light of yester day's acts of terrorism, all our problems seem trivial and minute don't they?I agree with everone about justice being served.Hopefully we won't screw this one up like we did when we had a chance to rid the world of saddam h. but couldn't hit the mark.At the same time I hope it doesn't come to some thing like that as I have a step-son in the US Marines. He's a frontline machine gunnist. If it does come to that, I know he'll defend the honor of our country with his very life.God Bless all.
