:Engine is trashed. Started pulling parts last night. Radiator AND block didn't have enough coolant to fill a 20oz pop bottle. Oil pan is way over full and milky looking. Somewhere in the block there is a crack (probably No.2 cylinder wall), that allowed the coolant to seep into the oil pan. It wasn't like that right after the rod went because that was the first thing I looked at. Oh well, live and learn. Time to rebuild my other 302. Just hope there is no damage to my cam and crank... And it's not making me feel more excited about starting my first rebuild. I just KNOW something like that is going to happen to me, and I'm gonna blame myself because I will assume I did something wrong. Guess that's not the right attitude, is it? I would just kill me to put that much money into something and then watch it blow up. My sympathies go out to you. Good luck! |
