I wouldn't call 3190 pounds heavy. Not to me atleast. My maverick race ready with driver is 3396 and I only weigh 185. Of course I race it in true street trim, full interior and big show quality stereo in the trunk.
Sounds like a good set up so far. But you do need to think about your suspension. If you want it to handle good on the street then istead of front drag shhocks I would go for the high pressure KYBs, they work good for me. You should definitley get some kind of posi, don't expext a 9" to fall into your lap because not many fit the maverick. You can order a custom made to bolt up axle housing and shafts from Currie Ent. and put some junkyard 10" drom brakes on it and get a differential rebuilt with the gears of your choice. Or you can do what I did and order a complete drum to drum rear end from Currie complete with 31 spline axle, Auburn posi and 3.89 gears.
Once the suspension is decent and you get good traction mid to low 14s should be reasonable and I would think 0-60 in about 8 seconds and 1/4 mile at mid 90s mph.
