I have a '69.5, and the gas tank was very close for the 2.5" pipes. I had 2.25" pipes with 2.5" tips out the back, and there was sufficient room, and it does not rattle or hit. I think a good exhaust man could bend up a set that would work, though. Take the car to a good muffler shop, and see what they tell you. If one that caters to the high performance crowd is available, that would be your best bet. Good luck, and let us know how it turns out. Earl
