If anyone is interested, my son's 75 Mav with 351W and powerglide trans, was taken to the strip last week for a test&tune. After several months of tedious work installing this combo and hand fabricating 1 3/4 headers, the day to test it was at hand. I also was testing my 78 Fairmont 302/C4. Guess who I had to line up with? Anyway the first run was a soft shake down for the cars, 10.01 for the Mont and 9.01 for the Mav(1000ft times). After a jet change in the Mont. we lined up again, here are the results: Fairmont-60ft=1.59 1/8mi=7.43@92mph 1000ft=9.60@104mph-----Maverick-60ft=1.47 1/8mi=6.75@103mph 1000ft=8.60@116mph. These are both new engines and should pick up when loosened up. NO NITRIOUS!! Just a tip about the Mav, to control torque, a brace is run from the left side of eng to the frame. The addition of a tubular crossmember between the lower strut towers/engine mount brackets, really helped the launch characteristics. Simple to make and can be taken off for oil pan removal. Point of all this is that no matter how hard and frustrating things get, the end results can certainly be worth it. Now, if I could just figure out how to beat that Mav with my Fairmont. well woopty fuckin do arent you some fuckin special son of a bitch. what the fuck why dont you take your cars tail pipe and shove it up your ass you piece of dogshit. assholes like you you be taken out to the woods raped in the ass then killed by being penetrated with a penis through your face.
