New Gauges in Dash

    Got some new gauges (oil and temp) inset into my dash, thought I would share, thanks

    That big expanse of dash does seem to scream for something to be put there. Really nicely done :thumbs2:

    yes they are angled so i can see them better.

    I just pulled out my spare dash te other day to get started on this.., then crank did it. Now you.. Maybe me next if I get motivated enough lol. I see th pipe inside the holes, did you sleeve it like that so the gauge had a lip to sit on?

    Yes, the gauges were the same size as a 2" exhaust pipe, they would rest on the pipe edge, the outer pipe is the next size exhaust pipe, I believe 2 1/4". The gauges fit inside that pipe perfectly. Easy-peasy, LOL

    That's exactly what I want to do! There isn't enough space for the 2¼" gauge panel I want, so I may think about using the 2" ones. I'm in no hurry so I'm going to just shop around and see what's available. I definitely do not want to cut the dashboard! I've been working on a plastic plenum to have the ac vent come out under the dash. When I get to this I"ll post pics of what I did. :)

    Almost forgot, 55crownvic, you did a great job!!! :)
