I was wondering if there is a seal or sealant between the blower motor plate and the airbox? I am rebuilding mine and did not see a seal that would go between the two.
The spare airbox that I tore apart had some sealant on it. I had to pry the blower motor plate from the box.
It looks like they were trying to seal any possible air leaks in the box. I blasted and powdercoated the plate. It is clean and reassembled. I will post pictures of it in my build thread later. Thanks
Is the car A/C? ... mine is and I think there was a paper gasket in the kit I bought, which was for a 71-73 Mustang A/C unit. BTW ... 90% of the Mustang pieces carry over to our A/C boxes.
I looked further and seeing parts of these kits laid out in photos, I am not seeing any part that is shaped like the flange on the fan, so maybe not.
