    I finally found a V8 grabber, it's a 1973 Grabber survivor.

This is it, will be a simple restore on the body, no rust to speak of. Just fixing and getting parts now. Think I found most all of them from someone here including a great back seat in black. It's going for a color change, I don't like avocado green LOL Didn't like it in the 70s either!

I have to get used to this board. I'm finishing up a 73 Pinto wagon. This will just get the motor rebuilt for now. I choose this project over a 1965 Impala SS. I know it sounds stupid, but what I'm going to do. The Impala was more than a project I think I could do. I'm selling the King Cobra project also. I think the Pinto Wagon and the Maverick are what I want to drive. The Pinto, being painted this week, is getting a new 2.3 EFI engine. I think the Maverick is keeping it's 302, but really really needs a rebuild badly right now. I will probably do the engine compartment while the motor is being done and maybe the jams. I'm thinking of doing the car in either yellow or grabber blue, any suggestions? The Pinto is being painted yellow. Looks pretty cool in real bright yellow.

I'm learning welding, so I can do more stuff. A lot of stuff on the cars now, but the mechanics. I had a round with something, now I'm doing everything I've wanted. Opened a full service garage.

I'm on the Pinto forums a lot, should stop here more also!

Do they make rear quarters for this, or do I need to find a donor car?

Is this the place I should put my build?

I haven't even seen yet, but these are 5 lugs or 4? I just got it today.

All 73+ are 5 lug. Looks like a nice project!

Yours should be five lug. We had a '73 years ago with a 250 I6 and it was five lug. Four lug Mavericks might not have happened after '72 - someone will correct if I'm wrong.
In my humble opinion you can't go wrong with Grabber yellow - like my 1st Maverick ;).

The 70 I had was 4 lug. I didn't know they went all 5 lug and even with the 6 cylinders.

 Welcome back from Southern Idaho. I am about 2 hrs from you. I saw this Maverick of yours on Craigslist.

I have many parts that I could sell if you need some. PM me.

Back in the late 70's & early 80's I had my Grabber Blue Maverick and a Grabber Blue 72 Pinto wagon. The wagon got a 289, TopLoader 4-speed, and 3.25 rear gears. Fun car. At the time a friend of mine wanted to sell me his Grabber Blue 69 Boss 302 Mustang for $4500. Wish now I would've bought it. Anywho, I'm partial to Grabber Blue, if that helps your decision any.

This one looked pretty good so I had to get it. I mean I've never had a survivor before. Someone messed up the back quarters pretty badly. The engine is pretty bad though and it needs a redo.

There's a Project forum here, post away we'll be watching...

BTW I have to agree about the avocado, I didn't care for it in the '70s either... Really got sick of it as the last style house in the development we liked & bought had a avocado kitchen...

I had a 1970 Boss 302 in grabber blue. I'm partial to it also and I remember one Grabber when I had my Mustang back then that got my attention with c-strips on it and a hood scoop. I kind of like the hubs and rims on this one also, have the Pinto with a similar setup with Pinto hubs. I have to think this one through cause I'm keeping it and the Pinto as my main cars :)

I remember those kitchens. My parents had the brown with like two tone frosted on the ends. Those were funky days LOL

Hey Krazy, what hood scoop do you have on there and is it functional?
