Howdy folks. Been absent a few months. Between the holidays, working 16 hour days 7 days a week, and family it's been hard to get on. Finally back to normal shifts. Hope everybody is doing OK and look forward to getting back in the mix.

Now onto the cluster issue. Had to replace the speedometer cable. After reinstalling everything and cranking the car for the first time the cluster apparently grounded out. Everything mechanical wise still works. The back lights for it no longer work unless the high beams are on. Any suggestions as to what may be causing this issue or is a new cluster needed. I have checked all fuses and relays and they seem to be in working order. Any help is greatly appreciated.

Ryan, check the connector on the back of the cluster, not for a bad connector, but for a bent contact on the circuit board on the cluster. Those things are real boogers to stay down and go in straight. I put a dab of super glue under the contact fingers to hold them down. Worth a check.

Agreed, the finger for dash lights is probably resting on high beam finger...
