If you are talking about the hood hinges, then I dont know how many guys are gonna spend $500 on a set of hinges, thats just crazy to me, the helper struts are the way to go, IMO.

Yeh a bit pricey but a major jump up from stock hinges really sets off the eng comp for the guy that actually spent the time and effort to get a good looking job.some people are just too cheap to go over the top like that though.

The only issue I have with this one is it looks like it really limits access from the side, changing plugs would be that much more difficult.

They worked pretty good, and you can remove one side or the other if they are in the way, but my new mav has a different style on it, they are shorter and dont interfere at all, just a little labor involved.

To be honest I like having something different than everyone else.

Most are not willing to commit ok until there is a price. Most maverick owners are cheap.:D

I may or may not be cheap, but, I refuse to put 50 grand into a $8K Car, that is just common sense to me.

Well here we go. This is why I don't post on here. To many jealous people like you. I want build a one of a kind car for my dad and will never build a car like this again.

I was going to build a billet hood hinges for the Maverick but I couldn't get maverick owners to commit to $500 to $600 a set, which is a standard price for them. That is the truth about most maverick owners not willing to invest money into nice parts like other types of cars.

The worst part is that you are a Colorado maverick owner and I was hoping to meet someday. With an attitude like yours I could care less that ever see you or talk to you. What a jerk.

What brand are those hinges? They look awesome! Do they have bearings at the pivet points like Eddie motorsports for mustangs? I put a set on a mustang that got restored and that is the parts that get the most complements and interest. Thumbs up!!!

They are the set from Brazil. They are costly. The reason I got them was this is a one of kind build for my dad and I received a bonus from work when I purchased them. Performance V8 makes some really nice stuff but the exchange rate and dollar value almost kills the market on parts from Brazil. I have a few parts from Douglas and I am very happy with the quality.

Wow, a little sensitive aren't you? Nowhere in his post did he condemn anyone that wanted to put a ton of money into a Maverick, he just stated he wouldn't. He does have a point, these cars don't pull the big bucks if you sell them and if you aren't building it as your forever car you need to be cautious of your investment. In your case, the car is exactly what you want (stellar build in my opinion!) but it isn't right for everyone, they never are.

For starters if you think of building cars as a investment you are dead wrong you will get a reality check really fast.you build them for what you want and like not as a investment.

Never said it was an investment, just stated you need to watch your investment into the project if you think you may sell it. Just helps minimize the pain/loss when it finds a new home. I have had more than my share of buy high sell low adventures and know all to well the reality of the hobby.

Anyone building a Maverick as an investment is nuts. Anyone build any car as an investment is crazy.

I always said my next car will be bought and I will modify what I want from there.

Thanks RMiller for the support, you are right on, because I wasnt insinuating that Cruzin, OR ANYONE in particular, had 50grand in their mav, that was just a generalization.
Anyway, my apologies for pissing off anyone on here, was not my intention, merely pointing out what I personally think the value of the Mavericks are. And BTW, I am not jealous of anyones Maverick, but I will give cudos if I really like your car. Its your car, build it to your taste.
