Rear Bumper Shock/Mounts

    Doing a small bumper conversion and I am uncertain how to remove the rear bumper shock/mounts. Any advise? (I have the bumpers removed and all the bolts removed)

    I asked the same question once. I didn't see the bolt going up into the frame rail behind the spring eye. Once I got the bolt out I hit the mount with an eight pound sledgehammer to get it unstuck

    Maybe that's why I can't get it off. LOL .I didn't see the bolt behind the spring eye either. I will try that. Thank you!!

    I cut the retractable mounts off flush with the rear end of the car when I put the small bumper on my 4dr many years ago. They are filled with a compressed white foam material. It makes a mess, but nothing to worry about. At the time, my knowledge and resources were limited and being a Maritime car, the bolts were NOT budging...
