Gotta start somewhere, first upgrade...a Hayden Fan replacing the stock 4 blade.
Fit perfect, although I bought the recommended spacer, the Alt was in the way. So, I used the stock spacer the fan had. Fit and runs perfect with room to spare.

Not bad, did a similar upgraded myself! I have to say it may look nice and all but when I asked the rest of the Maverick community on another unrelated problem that gave a glimpse of that fan they told me how much of a problem it could turn out to be. I was told that it could crack and break off due to stress from flexing. I've already considered an electric fan conversion but you should check the page out if you want me to link it. It may give you a better perspective!

Don't know if I'll have the cracking problem. Don't drive it enough to put much stress on the fan. Also, I just like driving it around town, cruise around stuff.
But, thanks for the info. I'll definitely check it out on a regular basis to make sure it's staying together.

It's clean. Just upgrading a few things. Pertronix ignition w/coil is next week. Nothing major, and a paint job in the future.

    Okay...
Pertronix ignition & coil is in, awesome. Starts right up.
K & N filter is in, no problems with the increased airflow.
New Flex Fan is in, big difference just by the feel of it as far as air flow.
New front brakes. Tranny fluid & filter. Tuned up and fine tuned.
    Runs great and smooth.
    Headers coming in Spring.
That'll do the upgrades as far as engine and mechanical. Now, on to the looks. Inside & out. Be done by the end of Summer.
Thanks for the advice and ideas Fellas.

I hope you don't mind but can I see a picture(s) of the flex fan in your Maverick?! I have a similar fan and I want to make sure I have it install the right way!

It's been said before ; the Flex Fans are prone to coming apart and causing serious damage to hoods , AND people. A member of CAMEO here in Florida lost his life while standing next to the car and revving the engine ... Fan Blade dislodged and struck him in the throat .. The guy bled out before they could get help and his wife was there when it
happened. This is no BULLSH..T story .. This REALLY happened and I would be remiss if I DIDN'T say something ..
It's been proven ,these FLEX fans are dangerous and if you didn't know that before .. You do now ! Just mho ..
