Help! How do I remove/seperate the engine wiring harness

    image.jpeg I am trying to remove the engine wiring harness from my maverick. Can someone tell me how it seperates at the firewall as shown?

    There is a bolt that goes through the fuse block and holds it to the outer connector then it is just a matter of wiggling it out

    Hey Murphy :
    It may be a good idea to ' TAKE PICTURES ' of the Harness and its Connections under the dash ..and at the Firewall BEFORE removing anything ! It may aid you in re-installing important wires ! Just a thought.

    1972 Maverick Grabber - Color: Orange Also, 1976 Ford Maverick 4-door, 1977 Mercury Comet 2-door.
    Once you remove the bolt in the fuse box....pull the fuse box out of the firewall. Then there are two clips you need to pry on from the "inside" in order to get the engine side of the plug out of the firewall.
