The wheels and tires look good. What are the details on them?

    Thanks...
They were on the car when we bought it.
The tires are from 1996. The car sat for over 20 years in a garage. So the tread is like new.

    Thanks!
The spoiler is a reproduction spoiler from a '73 Mustang Mach 1. The turn-downs at each end match perfectly with the Mav/Comet body lines. The spoiler is only $150 from CJ Pony Parts.

    Absolutely stunning car!
Speaking from first hand experience I would not drive on those tires. Just last year I noticed an almost pointed bulge in the middle of what appeared to be a perfectly good tire on a car that spends a major amount of time in the garage. The next day cords were coming out of the center of the tire tread. This was a very nice looking tire with full deep tread on a car that is only driven in the summer. I didn't believe the tire company's admonition to replace your tires regularly figuring they just wanted more of our hard earned cash but after personally dealing with this I will pay a lot more attention. Imagine what would happen to your family and that beautiful car if that were to happen at speed.

Thanks for the compliment and the advice.
I know exactly what you're saying about older tires, and we plan on changing them out for new tires soon. We live in the city and we go easy on the tires and stay close to home.
Btw, we just put a 3.80 Posi rear end in the car last night. The difference from the stock 3.0 open rear end is incredible. The car now has some giddy-up-and-go!

Hi, question on the rear end. My car is a 71 and had a 250 cid original engine. My 8" rear end is stock to make example 3.8 version do i need to change the whole rear end or just the mid part?

    Sorry... just saw this.

You just need to change out the "pig" (center section) and you're good to go!

We got our rebuilt pig from a guy in southern Indiana that really knows his stuff.

Check out our last picture to see it.
