Does anyone know specific part numbers for leaf springs that will fit a 71 Comet?

I say Craig's comet on another post with the master part list and it looks like the 71 2dr used d1dz-5560-c or d1dz-5560-d but searching for that didn't yield any results.

I'd like something that would be stock height and stock or mild performance.

I assume some of the late 60s Mustang springs will work but would like to know for sure before ordering.

You don't need part numbers. Just call any major spring supplier (like ESPO Springs 'n Things) and tell them what car you have and and what you want. They have all the factory specs. It's not like you're gonna find new springs with factory part numbers on them...

Find a local spring shop that way if you don’t like the way it sits most places will re-arch them for free(y)

Agree, contact spring co with your needs.

I'd guess a Stang spring would be too long, maybe the early '65/'66. All the springs I saw in master parts list specific numbers for Mustang, Maverick, Torino etc, no interchange. I know '69 Fairlane/Torino springs are approx 3½" longer than Comet.

Mustang springs are actually shorter from the front eye to the locator bolt.

And Mustang springs use larger bushings in the eyes.

Front eye's where the same size RB82, it was the rear shackles, Mustangs 65-70 where 1 3/8" and on our Mav/Comet where 1", which where same size as 67-73 Cougars.......

Yep, the rear bushings. I should have been more specific. 30 years ago I decided I wanted polyurethane bushings in the rear. They didn't have them for Mavericks at that time that I could find so I bought Mustang pieces and turned them down in a lathe. They're still working good.

Just get Maverick/Comet springs and save yourself a lot headaches/hassles.
