hello everyone! Got another stupid question, I can’t seem to find any rear quarter panels for these ok mavericks and comets. Autokrafters doesn’t sell them anymore. Any suggestions? Maybe motify some mustang panels? Any input would be greatly appreciated! Thanks. Here is some progress on a 1974 comet that was hit in the rear. I used a maverick panel obviously and gonna use some custom tail lights. I’m about to get a 1970 maverick with in dash key ignition that gonna need some extra love.
Some of that lower area can be patched together fairly easy. Just get some 18- or 20-gauge sheet metal and make your own using what you have as a guide.
From the one picture you posted, I can tell the car has SERIOUS and extensive rust issues. You will need to inspect the car thoroughly to see if the car warrants a restoration, or better off as a parts car.
It does, I also have a couple more another 2 door cars that I will probably end up using instead of this one. It will more that likely be a parts car. It’s pretty rough but I bought it for a little of nothing.
I found this when searching https://www.c2cfabrication.com/collections/quarter-panel/maverick No info on the company from my end
Seeing that their part number starts with "SHE" they're probably made by Sherman in Canada, same junk I had on my car for a very short time until I found some NOS quarters. The body lines didn't match up to the car and the 90* bends at the doors and tail pieces were not sharp like original, kinda of rounded.
