Got the Comet back from headliner guy. Said since I had the panels off and was going to do carpet, he suggested getting some type of stick on sound proofing to put in the doors, front sides, and inside the 1/4's to the wheel well behind the doors, said it would make the interior quiet???? Where do get this, audio shop?? Any suggestions??
Dynamat is the greatest stuff ever!!!!! I have been in cars with the insulation type stuff that is squishy and fabricky on one side, and shiny on the other, and it is really loud compared to Dynamat... Dynamat is really good to use in the doors, and then behind the rear quarter interior panels, then when you shut your door... it is the greatest sound a person shutting their door could ever hear!!!
Yea, it's good stuff, you wont belive how well it works. I used it to make a little sub box for my jeep out of a 5 gallon gas can. Its just incredible.
in my olds i spray glued green foam form a fabric store to the inside roof and then put a fabric headliner in. gave it that plush look and now i cant hear any rain drops if i happen to get stuck in a heavy storm hahaha. turned out to be pretty pointless, i like the sound of open headers anyway i dont think the locals do though ??
